Position Overview:
C4RE Services is seeking a qualified Research Officer to support our research initiatives. The candidate will be expected to have a solid foundation in social sciences research, with demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis, and reporting. The Research Officer will contribute to the design and execution of research projects, particularly in the areas of socio-economic and demographic studies. This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, overseeing fieldwork, and preparing detailed reports that meet project requirements and objectives.
General Responsibility in the Office:

Assist in preparing literature reviews, developing research tools, data collection, and analysis.

Train and support enumerators for both field and remote research activities.
-
Monitor and support data collection in the field.
-
Contribute to field-based and remote research design and planning, including focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and household surveys.
-
Organize and maintain comprehensive records for all data, verification sources, and supporting documents as required by project and donors.
-
Develop research reports, policy briefs, research proposals according to EoI/RFP/RFQ/DPP for Govt. and Non-Govt. Agencies. Preparing Expression of Interest including company background, project data sheet, CV of experts, and management and financial capability of the company.

Prepare technical and financial project proposals in collaboration with team members.

Assist organizing knowledge-sharing events and maintain liaison with donors and stakeholders shortlisting.

Attend pre-bid and pre-proposal meetings to address queries related to proposals.
-
Maintain professional communication with clients and experts.
-
Any other related tasks assigned by Supervisor/Organization.
Project Responsibilities:
-
Review literature related to socio-economic and livelihood-related research/projects.
-
Prepare survey tools including semi-structured questionnaires checklist for Focus Group Discussion (FGD), and Key Informant Interview (KII) using Kobo Toolbox; Conduct field testing to verify the survey tools and supervise the enumerators;
-
Facilitate and conduct training of enumerators survey methodology.

Conduct community consultations using participatory research tools
-
Ensure quality assurance in data collection and providing feedback to the enumerators as necessary.

Analyze collected data using statistical tools (SPSS/R/STATA).

Assist in drafting reports with socio-economic and demographic factors.
Qualification:
-
Master’s degree in Social Science (Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Economics, Business Studies, Development Studies or a elated field);
-
Minimum5 years of experience in a consulting/research firm;Proficient knowledge of procurement systems in Bangladesh and other donor-funded projects bidding process;

Must have knowledge and experience in submitting EOI and Proposal in different platforms like ADB, World Bank, UNGM, UNDP, eGP, CPTU, etc.;

Proficiency in SPSS/R/STATA for statistical data analysis;

Flexibility in field visits;

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and presentation skills;

Demonstrated evidence of scientific writing with publication/report writing;

Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and under pressure;
